FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS CBD?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a cannabis compound that has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. It is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified within hemp plants.

Every human body has an endocannabinoid system, a system within the body whose receptors (CB1 and CB2) have an enormous impact on our well being and health.

CB1 receptors are found primarily in the brain, more specifically in the basal ganglia and in the limbic system, including the hippocampus.

CB2 receptors are predominantly found in the immune system, with the greatest density in the spleen. CB2 receptors appear to be responsible for the anti-inflammatory.

Some studies connect CBD oil to reducing symptoms epilepsy, neuropathic and multiple sclerosis-related pain, and cancer.

CAN YOU GET HIGH OFF CBD?

THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid that makes you high. CBD does not have any psychoactive properties.

If you are required to undergo drug screenings by your employer, you need to be fully aware of the contents of your CBD oil. Don’t use CBD oil made from marijuana. You have no way of knowing that the product is THC-free unless you have a lab at home. In fact, we don’t recommend using any CBD product that does not specify that the product is completely THC-free, meaning all THC has been removed.

We understand that this might be of concern to some people, so we have specifically formulated all of our products to have ZERO THC guaranteed.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN ISOLATE CBD OIL AND BROAD SPECTRUM CBD OIL?

“Broad spectrum” or “whole plant” CBD oil will contain no amount of THC as well as other cannabinoids. This contributes to the much-touted “entourage effect,” which Dr. Joseph Nathan, Director of the International Drug Information Center, notes allows users to reap the benefits of not only the hundreds of cannabinoids but also the flavonoids and terpines present in the plant.

Isolate CBD oils are made by isolating only the CBD present in the plant; THC and other cannabinoids will not be present in these oils.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD OIL AND 100% HEMP OIL?

Hemp oil is the name given any oil derived from the hemp plant; CBD oil is an oil containing high amounts of CBD, made from either the hemp or the cannabis plant. While much CBD oil is also hemp oil, not all hemp oil is CBD oil; hemp oil made from the seeds of the hemp plant will not contain active CBD.

IS CBD OIL LEGAL?

Yes! Most CBD oil is produced from industrial hemp, the same plant used to make hemp textiles and hemp seeds. The confusion is mainly caused by ignorance of the fact that marijuana and hemp are not the same plant.

Cannabis Oil is not legal outside of the states which have specifically legalized marijuana, but this is not the case with hemp-derived CBD oil.

Over the past few decades, there has been an explosion of research into the health benefits of CBD and other cannabinoids. CBD has been gaining acceptance in the U.S. as a result of media coverage by respected health experts such as Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The message of CBD’s healing powers is beginning to reach the masses.

Today, CBD oil is available to everyone and research into CBD’s effect on the human body has ramped up substantially.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HEMP AND MARIJUANA

To the untrained eye, hemp and marijuana can appear similar, but if you know what to look for, each plant has very clear distinctions.

When comparing Hemp vs Marijuana, this is a huge distinction; while Hemp contains a very low concentration of THC (0.3% or less), Marijuana is abundant in THC with concentrations between 15% to 40%.

Because of this, Hemp is grown primarily for industrial purposes, while Marijuana is grown for recreational and medicinal purposes.

CAN YOU TAKE TOO MUCH CBD OIL?

CBD is completely non-toxic. Research into CBD’s effects on the human body has shown that CBD is well-tolerated in humans. You would have to consume quite a bit of CBD oil before it results in any truly adverse health effects. There is no known record of anyone ever being poisoned by or overdosing on, CBD.

However, taking more CBD than needed might cause some unwanted effects such as making you too relaxed for particular activities like work or sports.

Once you have arrived at a particular dosage based on the product you are using, it’s a good idea to stick with that product.

WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS OF CBD?

Several studies have shown that CBD reduces the risk of diabetes and obesity, provides better cholesterol profiles and lowered risk of cardiovascular disease, reduced risk of cancer, helps maintain brain health and create resilience to trauma and degeneration, protects against bone disease and broken bones, protects and heals the skin, anti-inflammatory benefits, anxiety and stress, depression and mood disorders, pain, and sleep disorders. These benefits are not all as more and more benefits are discovered through continual study of this powerful extract.
